How do I book an appointment?
You can book an appointment by visiting our website, using our Patient Portal, or calling our office directly. If using the portal, simply log in, select “Schedule Appointment,” and choose a time that works for you.
Do I need a referral to schedule an appointment?
Patients do not need a referral to schedule an appointment, unless specified by their respective insurance provider
What services do you offer?
We currently offer Mental Health Evaluations, Psychiatry Clearances, Clinical Medication Management, Psychotherapy, and Substance Abuse Treatment
What insurance plans do you accept?
We accept most major commercial insurances, government insurances, and offer self-pay rates. Please contact our office for confirmation of insurance benefits and eligibility
How does telepsychiatry work?
Tele-psychiatry offers flexibility to patients with allowing them to be seen in a virtual capacity for mental health services
How long is a typical session?
New Patient appointments are typically 1 hour visits. Follow-up visits are typically 30 minutes
What should I expect at my first appointment?
During the first appointment, patients will meet with a healthcare provider who will assess full medical and psychiatry history, assess recent psychiatry symptoms or condictions, and develope a patient-centered, evidence-based treatment plan. The average first appointment is scheduled for minimum 30 minutes to 1 hour.
How do I prepare for a telehealth appointment?
To ensure the highest quality of care and compliance with HIPAA regulations during your upcoming telehealth appointment, please review the following guidelines:
- Privacy & Confidentiality: For your safety and to protect your privacy, it is essential that you attend your telehealth session from a quiet, private location. Please avoid public spaces and ensure that no unauthorized individuals can overhear or view the session.
- Limit Distractions: Minimize background noise and interruptions. If possible, use headphones to improve sound quality and privacy.
- No Driving or Operating Machinery: You must not be driving, operating a motor vehicle, or actively traveling during your appointment. Sessions conducted while driving will be immediately discontinued for safety and legal reasons.
- Device Readiness:
- Ensure your device (phone, tablet, or computer) is fully charged or plugged in.
- Check that your camera and microphone are working properly.
- Have a stable internet connection for the duration of the session.
- Early Check-In Recommended: Please log in to the telehealth platform 5–10 minutes before your scheduled time to address any technical issues and be ready to begin on time.
- Emergency Situations: Telehealth is not suitable for emergency situations. If you are experiencing a mental health or medical emergency, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
How do I contact my provider between appointments?
Patients can utilize the patient portal to communicate with providers between appointments. In addition patients may contact the office direcrtly via phone or email
Is my information kept confidential?
ClearMinds Behavioral Health abides by a stringent HIPAA Policy. All patient information is kept confidential and stored on a HIPAA Compliant EHR system.
What if I need to reschedule or cancel an appointment?
Patients can utilize the patient portal or contact the office directly to reschedule or cancel an appointment
What happens if I miss my appointment?
Patients who miss their appointments may be subject to a $60 no-show/cancellation fee. Patients can contact the office to reschedule appointment
How do I access the Patient Portal?
All patients will receive instructions to enroll and access patient portal once an appointment is scheduled. In addition, patients can navigate to “www.healow.com” and search “ClearMinds Behavioral Health” to self-enroll. Patients can also access patient portal directly from our website using the “Patient Login” button.
What age groups do you treat?
ClearMinds Behavioral Health provides full life-span services beginning at the age of 6 years old.
Do you offer same-day appointments?
